Photographer Stacia Spragg-Braude of Corrales, New Mexico wishes to thank the Begay family of Jeddito, Arizona, on the Navajo Indian reservation, for allowing her to share their journey with the Churro sheep along their path of healing and reclaiming cultural identity for the next generation of Navajos. She extends her gratefulness to N. Scott Momaday for his afterward in the book, and his warm heart and support. She thanks the New Mexico Humanities Council that funded photography exhibitions and photo presentations throughout the state. And of course, many thanks to the Museum of New Mexico Press for supporting this photodocumentary project and publishing the book, To Walk in Beauty: A Navajo Family's Journey Home, to be released in the spring 2009.
